Happy Halloween!!! Sorry I am a little late, I was traveling all Halloween and forgot to wish everyone well.
I wish I could say I am loving Ireland already, but I have only seen airports (and LOTS them). I spent all day yesterday (or today,...I am so confused with the time change) in airports. After flying from Pittsburgh to Newark (which, by the way, was a puddle jumper plane that was VERY sensitive to the wind), I had a five hour layover. Much of the time was spent walking around in circles until we finally boarded to plane for Dublin. The flight over was wonderful, much to my amusement. Each seat had an individual screen where we could either pick a movie to watch, game to play, or music to listen to. There were over forty movies to choose from! Also, they served us beverages, dinner and breakfast (all of which were completely edible).
All I have seen of Dublin so far is the interior of a bus.
I am currently at my host family's house. She seems lovely. We were greeted with hugs and tea. Time for a nap, however, because my jet lag is killing me.
Talk to you soon!

(Here is a picture of the house I am staying in. This is the garden in the back of the house. So warm and cozy!)
Miss Sunday, Happy Halloween to you, too! Seems like you had a great time in the multiple airplanes/airports you've been to. The house you're staying at is very pretty. That garden is a daydream! I learned something today. Everytime you laugh, you add more time to your life. So the nine weeks I spent with you added approx. 3 years to my life! Thanks! I miss you!
ReplyDeletehahaha. This is very true. See, you made me laugh...and expanded my life!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so happy. When do you start teaching in Ireland? Are you excited? Do you miss us?
