November 4, 2009 Omagh: Ulster American Folk Park

November 4th

Waking up to a crystal clear rainbow is an unexplainable feeling. Each day since this day, I have seen a rainbow. At times, I have seen multiple rainbows in the sky at one time. They are,...bright. This particular rainbow almost made me cry; I have never seen the beginning of a rainbow. I wanted to jump off the bus and touch it! Just lovely,....

After driving several hours into Northern Ireland, we arrived to Ulster in the American Folk Park. The day was,...educational. I learned a great deal about emigration to and from Ireland. In particular, I am now an expert on Thomas Mellon (known best to Pittsburghers for his wealth=ex: Mellon Bank). Pictured is his origional house before he moved to America.

The rest of our day was spent at this park. After a fully day of history lessons, it was time to have fun!
